Mrs. Mary Jane Holcombe

Mary Jane Stewart Holcombe Pickens, SC Mary Jane Stewart Holcombe, 81, of Moorefield Memorial Hwy, wife of the late J.B. Holcombe, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Ivy W. Stewart and Nora Lee Holt Stewart. Mrs. Holcombe was retired from Kent Manufacturing, Runnymede Plant, and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Martha Porter (Jim), Cless Holcombe and Melissa Cartee all of Pickens; five grandchildren; Leanne Barron, Eric Holcombe, Ashton Cartee, Stuart Cartee and Caleb Cartee; three great grandchildren, Marlee Barron, Jace Holcombe and Brody Adams. Mrs. Holcombe was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth Porter; a brother, Buster Stewart; and three sisters, Iva Stewart, Betty Stewart and Azilee Stancil. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
