This is Don Craig. Papa Dee Seaborn and Uncle Jay were brothers.  Mother and  Mildred were first cousins.  We lived in the country and Aunt Irene (Uncle jay's wife) would come over and pick blackberries. We went to church with Uncle Jay and other family members.  The Hendricks were a well known  family . I was in school with some of the younger ones.  Thomas was about a year ahead of me.  I worked with Mary Ann Hendricks.  What a great person she was.  Mildred operated a beauty shop.  She really wanted and loved family.  I remember when her baby (Rusty) was born. Being twenty four years older than Rusty , our paths sadly never crossed but I always knew of and about him.  His passing was a shock,  especially at such a young age.  His service was a celebration with kind and supportive reflections on his life and elternal hope.  May the promises of God sustain each of you now and forever more .

Rusty was a colleague that comes along once in a career.  He was the first person I connected with when I started at the Seneca site in 2021.  He guided me and gave me advice nearly every single day.  We had so many good conversations.  His leadership, compassion for people, and friendship will never be forgotten.  I thank the Good Lord for brining Rusty into my life.  Rest in Peace my friend knowing you  left a long and lasting legacy at the Seneca site and in so many lives you touched.  My deepest sympathies to you, Krisee and Kyle.

I have met and worked with a lot of people in my life. "Rusty" is one that I'll always remember.  "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel". That is how I will remember "Rusty" . He treated everyone with respect and often made them feel good about themselves. He was a good man and will be missed by all.

My cousin Rusty was very special to me. I have a lot of wonderful memories of our times playing as kids together.   I write these words through tears as I recall those memories. There are no words that feel big enough for a moment like this. The world feels a little less whole without you in it, and I can’t begin to imagine the weight of this grief for everyone who loved you — especially for Kyle & Krissi.  Thank you for giving me the greatest gift I could’ve ever imagined- Kyle Hendricks.  I will forever be grateful to you.  You also gave him a beautiful extended family.  Thank you for giving him the most incredible Memaw & Poppy.  If I had searched the whole world or hand picked them from a book I couldn’t have chosen better.  And I thank you for Krissi — she has loved and supported Kyle like her own from the very beginning. Because of you, he has always been wrapped in love.  It breaks my heart to know that Kyle won’t have the chance to spend the next decades with you — to call you for advice, to share his victories, to laugh with you like he always did. But I promise you this: he will never feel alone. Your presence lives on in him, and in all the people who love him because of you.  We will all make sure he remembers that every step of the way.

Kris and Kyle, what a dream it's been to be a part of this journey for 40+ years. We made it from silly high school kids to actually resembling adults. From 1985 to current I could always count on Rusty. We've both been at rock bottom and fought our way back to the top! This is how long term friendship works. Always bring each other up! 
Well brother, the livewell is full and the the range is open!

This is Joe Seaborn, Jr.  My dad, Joe Sr. and his mom, Mildred, were brother and sister.  As his cousin, I want to share with Krisee and the family our shock at his passing.  Over the years, our friendship with Rusty and the family has remained close with him showing us much kindness and help in the final years of Dan and my dad's own difficult years, as his near neighbor. He was gracious to call us, alert us to changes in our father, and reach out to help as dad needed.  Along with his wife, he gave us reassurance that dad would be in good hands.  It was the ultimate gift, to care for a family member in challenging times. Our love and support are firmly in place for the family in these days of grief and loss.  We love you.
