I am very saddened to hear the news of Pete, I worked with Pete at Fluor. He was a great man that I always loved talking too and kept up with each other thru the years.  I will keep Margie and the family in my prayers.

Sincere and heartfelt prayers go out to Margie and the family during this difficult time.  I didn't have the privilege of meeting Pete, but the affection Margie had for him was so evident.  He must have been quite a guy!

When Margaret and Pete first moved to S.C., I would call the house and when Pete would answer, I would always think it was Jon.  

I would say, 'where's your mother? "  He would always answer, " in Nah Jersey!" Then he would laugh and tell Margaret I was on the phone.   

I know he answered 'Nah Jersey' just to annoy me and he got a large charge out of doing it too!   When cell phones got popular, I missed his Nah Jersey response. You will be missed!  

Pete was friend for over 30 years. The time I got to spend with is filled with good memories. In thinking about him I realized I never heard a ill word about anyone or anything. That’s the kind of man he was. He will be greatly missed. 

I went to school with Pete and was in the same class. Janie called and told me about Pete's passing and just wanted to send my condolences. prayers for the family.  Joan Grauzlis Moran from Hickory NC

Mr. Pete was such a wonderful friend to our Dad, Roy Maddox. We will always be grateful for the loving care he offered to him, during his later years.  We live 500 miles away and Mr. Pete would always call and keep us informed about Dad's health and activities.  It comforted us to know someone was there for him, when we could not be.  Now, Mr. Pete has been called to his eternal home and our hearts are saddened that he is no longer on earth, but we can imagine his BIG smile as he entered Heaven's gates and heard the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."  Mr. Pete showed his love for God through his servant attitude and we are grateful to have known him.

It was truly a honor to know Pete and to be able to call him my friend. He was such a sweet, humble, and caring man. I always enjoyed talking with him, sharing jokes, and just seeing him do his thing while caring for other veterans on the Honor Flight. He will truly be missed and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm including one of my favorite photos of Pete just being himself with a little girl who visited our carving club before CoVid hit and we could no longer meet regularly.   He was always helpful to anyone of any age who had questions for him on carving and many stopped at his table to talk to him.   

I'm sorry I did not have longer to get to know him;  I will be one of the many PWCC members who will miss this mild mannered man.   May God bless his family and may our prayers help to bring them some comfort during this trying time.

I really enjoyed working with Pete at the Sheriff's Office.  We had a running battle of the Navy and Air Force Anthems.  Anchors Away my friend.
