Pickens – Robert Dana "Bob" Carr, 85, husband of Barbara Howland Carr, passed from this life on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his home. Bob was born in Bangor, Maine a son of the late Harold Tubbs Carr and Doris Tarr Carr. He was retired from RCA and later operated his own cabinet shop. Bob was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and formerly served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Barbara Carr and his sons, Richard Carr (Debra) and William Carr (Connie) all of Pickens, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Harold Carr, Jr. of Brevard. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Monday, December 19, 2016 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with The reverend Barry Dilworth and The Reverend Gerald Martin officiating. The family is at the home.
