Terry Lee Whitesides

Terry was born in Baytown, Texas on December 23, 1952, to the late Troy and Margarette Whitesides.

He was a faithful member of 5point Church in Easley, SC, and a volunteer fireman at the Pumpkintown fire department. He retired after 24 years of service at Exxon Mobile and was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army and United States Air Force. Terry loved to help people and enjoyed welding, working with his hands to create and fix items for friends and families. He always had a farmer’s tan from spending time outside.

Terry was a loving husband for 43 years and a supportive dad for 21. He leaves behind his wife, Barbara Whitesides and daughter, Leana Whitesides, as well as his brother Troy Whitesides and sister Charlotte Wood. He will surely be missed by the community, his family, and friends .

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 PM Thursday, March 13, 2025, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, 2432 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens SC 29671. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 2 PM in the Garden Room.

"My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going" John 14: 2-4.
