Diane and family, I just heard of Bud's passing. 
It seems like yesterday when we lived as neighbors in Charleston.
I will never forget him.
It saddens me so much to hear of his passing.
He was a wonderful man and I will always carry those sweet memories of our lives shared with our families.

Diane,  Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.  Bud was in the band at USC at the same time Terry was in the band at Clemson.  We always enjoed "jawing" about the 2 schools, but it was always friendly.  Bud fought a good fight, he kept the faith, and he finished the course.  He is walking on the streets of gold now.

I only knew Bud for 68 of his 72 years, we grew up side by side at the most wonderful place in South Carolina. We couldn't get by with much as his parents were like mine and vice versa, but we did try. Our families were were almost as one. The memories flood over me now as I think back to those incredible times. It shaped us forever, and I am so thankful. Over the years as we became at times busy with careers and families of our own to raise, our contact ebbed and flowed but our love and friendship always remained. Bud loved his God and family, his friends, church and country, his music, his pets and somehow even those Gamecocks. One of the "Bubbies" is gone now, but will forever be a part of my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Bud got his healing in Heaven. God heals but not always in the way we think. These were words of comfort for me from Randy Harling when my precious BF died three years ago. I am there for you. I have great love for you and Bud when you were our family deacon and showed our family love when Stella Chapman had her stroke.You were there for us.

Diane and Family, words are not enough to let you truly know my sadden heart. My deepest love and thoughts go out to you. I will be there Saturday at the church.
