Harold Gene Collins

Harold Gene Collins, 74 of Brenton passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born March 3, 1941 at Serosa, WV to the late Timbrook and Zina Huff Collins Bentley Harold was a disabled coal miner and was of the Church of God Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Hershel, Ersel, Willie, Clifford, Jackie and Henry Collins and Earl Bentley; two sisters, Mary Walls and Dorothy McCoy. Those left to cherish the memory of Harold is his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Louise Collins of Brenton 2 sons, Michael Paul Collins and his wife, Carrie and Jason Harold Collins and his companion Rose Compton all of Brenton 4 sisters, Lorene Suttles of Pineville Josephine Cline and her husband, Ance and Christine Lester and her husband, Dexter all of Baisden Geraldine Cochrane and her husband, Steve of Bastian, VA 3 granddaughters, Amber Dawn, Emily Grace and Lydia Gene Collins all of Brenton A grandson, Harley Cline He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at the church A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Full Gospel Church of God with Rev. Jonas Trent and Lerman Mounts officiating. Burial will follow at the Lester Family Cemetery, Baisden. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
