Linda Powers

Linda Farley Powers, 65, of New Richmond, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 following a long illness. Born May 16, 1950 at Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Guy Farley, Sr. and Helen Laxton Farley of New Richmond. Linda attended the Pineville Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, walking, camping, listening to gospel music and being with her family. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Powers. Survivors include her mother, Helen Laxton Farley of New Richmond 2 sons, Keith Powers and his wife, Tiffany of Clear Fork David Powers and his wife, Jackie of Indian Creek A daughter, Crystal Thomas and her husband, Billy of New Richmond 5 brothers, Roger Farley, Jerome Farley both of New Richmond and Guy Farley, Jr. of Saulsville Randall Farley of Doddridge County, WV and Teddy Farley of Greenbrier County 2 sisters, Brenda Browning and Joy Umberger both of Pulaski, VA 7 grandchildren, Dalton, Munch, Hunter, Mackenzie,& Cole Powers and Sydnie and Alex Thomas A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2015 in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Randall Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cline Family Cemetery at Sun Hill. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the funeral home.
