Starla Kaye Reed

Born May 25, 1993 at Blacksburg, VA she was the daughter of Kevin Reed and Renee Weeks.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pansy Reed and stepfather, Warren Harrington.

Starla attended the Princeton Church of God and Bluefield State College. She graduated from Narrows High School in 2011. In high school she was a standout student, and athlete competing in basketball, track and cross country. She also helped referee youth sporting events in the community; she enjoyed riding dirt bikes, being outdoors, swimming and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include her father, Kevin Reed of Pineville; mother, Renee Weeks Harrington of Princeton and stepmother, Ellen Reed of Summersville, WV

A brother, Ricky Smith of Princeton

2 sisters, Kari Collins of Pearisburg, VA and Alex Reed of Princeton

Step-sister, Melissa Lester of Oceana

Grandparents, Carl Reed of Pineville and Stuart and Anne Bailey of Princeton

3 nephews, Chanler Smith, Ricky Smith, Jr. and Xander Phillips

A niece, Elysia Cook

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Boone Park in Narrows, VA with Joey Vicars officiating. Wayne Gautier and Todd Guynn as guest speakers.
