Anne M. Barmore

Age 96, of Brookville, OH passed away January 29, 2012 at BrookHaven Nursing Center. She was born April 1, 1915 in New York, NY, the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Barrett. Anne graduated from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in New York City as an RN in 1936. Along with her Husband, George F. Barmore, Anne lived in New York City, Meriden, CT, and Pittsburgh, PA before moving to BrookHaven Retirement Community. Anne was a 30+ year Volunteer for the Pittsburgh Blind Association (BVRS). Anne was instrumental in the Vision Screening Program and therefore in October 2010 she was awarded a Centennial Medal in appreciation for her support and dedication to Blind & Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Barmore (1970) and her son, Stephen Barmore (1989) of Southington, CT. Anne is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lang of California; grandsons, David Wallace (Denise) and James Wallace (Cheryl); great-granddaughters, Megan, Emily, and Rachael; daughter-in-law, Judy Barmore of CT; grandsons, Scott Barmore (Maureen) and Michael Barmore (Linda); great-grandchildren, Andrew, William, Stephen, Alexandra and Samantha; son, Donald Barmore (Linda) of West Alexandria, OH; grandsons, Bryan Barmore (Sharon) and Jonathan Barmore; and son, Richard Barmore (Elizabeth) of Arapahoe, NC. The family of Anne Barmore would like to thank the staff at BrookHaven Nursing Center, especially the Unit Two personnel. We would also like to thank Hospice of Dayton for their loving care of our Mother. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Alexis Church on Friday at 10:30 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial with her late husband George in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery will be private.
