Carol A. Peter

Carol Ann Peter, 85, formerly Carol Ann Manyx and Carol Ann Gibson, died of natural causes on April 7, 2022 at her residence facility in Mars, PA. She was born on June 27, 1936 in Steubenville, OH to Homer W. Gibson and Reva J. Hughes.

Carol, who enjoyed a career as a registered nurse, was a long-time resident of Quincy, IL where she met and married Robert (Bob) Manyx. They celebrated 22 years of marriage prior to Bob’s passing in 1992. The following year, Cupid’s arrow found its mark a second time when Carol had the great fortune to meet and marry Norman (Norm) Peter. Carol and Norm married in 1993 and, after retiring, relocated to the much warmer climate of Naples, FL where the enjoyed each other’s company until Norm’s passing in 2008. Carol remained in Florida until 2015, when she moved north to be near family.

Carol is survived by; Patrick Manyx and his wife Sharon of Arizona her grandsons, Todd Manyx, his wife Melinda, and their sons Conner and Hayden who live in Virginia, and Jason Manyx currently in Texas. Along with her nieces in the Pittsburgh area, Lisa Walton, her husband David, and LuAnn Phillips, and her husband Scoot and their respective families.
