Charles F. Sykes

Charles Sykes, 84 of McCandless, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012. He was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio and graduated from Miami University of Ohio and obtained his Masters in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. He met his wife of 56 years at Dance Land and they married after he completed his studies. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Highland and served as a past Commander of the VFW Wexford Post #9247. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea. He was an employee of General Electric as well as the HH Robertson Co. for 33 years, until he retired. Chuck is survived by his wife, Carol Sykes, daughter Karen Sykes, daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Steve Tucker and granddaughter Victoria Sykes. He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Eckel. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc. 1032 Perry Hwy.
