Frank H. Stright

Frank H. Stright lll age 84, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at UPMC Passavant Hospital with his twin sister Mary by his side. Frank was born in Pittsburgh on July 19, 1937 to the late Todd and Mary Stright. He graduated from Westview High School and went right to work.

He gave over 60 years of selfless service to the local fire department "Fairview VFD" he served in various positions; Fire Chief, Treasurer and Board of Directors. In addition he worked for 20 years as the Ross Township building Inspector and Fire Marshall.

His Dedication to his work was great, but did not hold a candle to the dedication and generosity that he showed his family and friends. The success of his nieces and nephews are in no small part a direct result of his unwavering love, dedication and generosity. Uncle Frank or "UF" was there for his family when they needed him. He did not miss a holiday or a graduation no matter how far he had to travel.

Frank is survived by his beloved twin sister Mary Landis of St. Petersburg, Florida, his niece Suzanne Landis, St. Petersburg Florida, and nephews Lloyd (Laura) Landis, Ardmore Oklahoma and Derek (Angel) Landis, Ardmore Oklahoma. He will be missed by his grandnephews, Caleb, Damon and Braden Landis and Grandniece Taylor Landis. Frank will be greatly missed by his protector and companion "Yukio"

Friends were like family; Frank is also survived by some very close friends he relied on over the years and would have done anything for them in return; Bridget, his longtime neighbor and close friends Lenny and Walt.

Frank will be missed for his mischievous sense of humor, especially towards his sister, his selflessness and willingness to always be there for others. Frank, "Brother", "UF", Uncle Frank loved by many, will be missed by all, God Speed!

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Fairview Firehall 44 E. Forest Ave. Pittsburgh PA 15202 on March 19, 2022 at 1PM.
