Irene "Rene" J. (Rask) Wessel, age 88 of Franklin Park, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 31, 2016. Wife of the late Robert G. Wessel; loving mother of Christine J. McGee (Timothy) of Stewartstown, PA, Gayle L. clear (John) of Baden and Arthur R. Wessel (Brenda O'Malley) of McCandless Township; proud grandmother of Matthew, Mark and Jonathan McGee and Abigayle Clear; sister of Lois Tilly, Marie Milbert, George Rask and the late Raymond, Jr. and Daniel Rask; sister-in-law of Audrey Wessel. Friends received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444). Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM in the Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church, 1828 Roosevelt Road, Sewickley, PA 15143. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rene was a member of the Mt. Nebo Grange #1872, a graduate of of West View High School, Class of 46 and was the "Woman of the Year" in 2014 at Montpelier first Presbyterian Church, Ohio. Family suggests memorial donations to her church.
