John S. Cygnarowicz Jr.

John S. Cygnarowicz, Jr., age 71, of McCandless, formerly Morningside, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2020 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Regina (Sakely) Cygnarowicz ; his children, Sharon (John) Eaton and Jack (Maureen) Cygnarowicz; three grandchildren, Declan Cygnarowicz and John William and Maggie Eaton. He is also survived by his brother, William Cygnarowicz and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Walter and Charlene Sakely.

After serving in VietNam, John was employed by the Pittsburgh Press and Post Gazette for over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially golfing, fishing, hunting and FunLover getogethers. All who knew John were amazed by his vast knowledge of animal facts, history and just about everything.

And, he wanted us to remember "he always kept us laughing." Due to Covid, services for John will be held privately by his family with internment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
