Joseph J. Vidnic, age 81, formerly of Pittsburgh, and a resident of Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Care for 3 years, passed away peacefully on Friday April 20, 2018. Beloved husband of Lois E. (Jones) Vidnic of 59 years; loving father to Cathleen Neese, Joseph J. Vidnic, Jr. (Melissa), Kenny Vidnic (Maura); loving grandfather to Beth DeSantis (Justin), Kelly Werner (Dave), Joseph Vidnic, Michael Vidnic, Katie Vidnic. He was a member of Most Holy Name Parish, he was an avid fisherman, having the nickname of "King of The River", and he was a favorite resident of Sunnyview and earned the nickname "JoJo". Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marion (Lake) Vidnic. Friends will be received in the H. P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., (412-364-4444) from 2-6pm Monday. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30am at Most Holy Name Parish, 1700 Harpster St. Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
