She was an amazing mother and bestfriend to her daughter, and her gentle spirit was evident to everyone who knew her. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything she did. She had a great sense of humor, loved animals, loved to read, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Dorothy had a passion for horses and when she was younger spent many vacations at Eden Hall Farm riding horses with her friends. Her greatest passion was being a mom.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Janice Bauman, two nephews, Stephen (Janet) Hudspeth and William Hudspeth, one great niece, Jena (Gary) Bova, one great nephew, Stephen Hudspeth, and numerous family and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Alfred J. Bauman, and two brothers, William L. Hudspeth and Robert T. Hudspeth.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, 1014 California Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15202. Funeral Service will be private due to COVID-19 restrictions. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Cornerstone Christian Community Church. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:00 PM at United Cemeteries, 226 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
