Karen Anne Knabel

Karen Anne (Bauer) Knabel, age 75, of Millvale, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Karen was born in Pittsburgh, PA. to the late Aloysius "Fritz" and Florence (Karcher) Bauer. She was the loving wife to the late Richard C. Knabel and together raised their children Sharon (Tony) Lalli and Richard "Rick" P. Knabel. She was the devoted grandmother of Elliott Lalli who he lovingly called "Googa". Karen will be missed by her dear brother Paul (Karen) Bauer, her nieces Rebecca Bauer and Amy Bauer. She leaves behind her sister in laws Nancy Staub, Marlene Underwood and her wonderful neighbors Gary Larkin and Jimmy Blumer.

Our Mother always led by example, there was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle, she was strong and determined. She will be remembered for knowing someone wherever she went.

Karen retired from Meals on Wheels, and enjoyed thrifting, ice cream and crafting. But most importantly she enjoyed her family.

A visitation for Karen will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237. A blessing service will occur Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11AM in the funeral home chapel, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237.
