

Lawrence “Larry” DeRobio, 96, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025. Larry was a World War II era Marine Corps veteran, a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 9 PA. He held a black belt in Judo.
Larry worked as a bricklayer and contractor for most of his adult life, contributing to many buildings in the Pittsburgh area and along the east coast. He loved cooking and fishing.
He served in the Marine Corps for two years immediately following World War II where he was employed as a brig guard and barber during the post-war occupation of China.
He is predeceased by his parents, Margaret Lapore and Antonio De Robio; his wife, Laverne (Keefer); and his son, Lawrence Jr. Larry is survived by his son Michael (Elizabeth) of Sachse, TX; stepdaughter Sandra (Tony) Sorce of Wexford, PA; stepson Kenneth Edmonston of Uncasville, CT; stepson Kirk Edmondston of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Clark and Reagan DeRobio, Amanda (Brad) Scullion, Marci (Tyler) Edmondston, and Jacilyn (Rod) Edmondston; great-granddaughters Madison, Morgan and Olivia.
Services will be held at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Highway Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on Friday, January 2 at 10AM. Interment will follow at 1PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
