Margaret (Seaber) Habel, age 101, passed away on November 12, 2017 just days shy of her 102nd birthday. Margaret was a longtime resident of Avalon and moved in 2012 to Maryland. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Habel; loving mother of Carol H. (Robert E.) McIlvain and grandmother of Jeffrey R. McIlvain. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews. Margaret was a graduate of Avalon H.S., class of 1934, where she played varsity basketball. Prior to her retirement, she worked for 43 years at West View Park, having served as President at the time of the park’s closing in 1978. Services were private and entrusted to the Orion C.
