Margaret Adele (Hamer) Isengard, age 100, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Preceded in death by her beloved husband William John Isengard and brothers John, Charles, and Campbell Hamer; she is survived by loving children Walter Isengard of Falls Church, VA and Mary Galus (William) of Pittsburgh; grandchildren April Jones (Justin) of Cecil Twp. and Jeremiah Galus (Christina) of Mesa, AZ; great grandchildren Noah, Luke, Joel and Mark Galus, and Olivia and Juliana Jones; siblings Mary Vick, Bill Hamer and Helen Southwell, all of Ontario, Canada, and Hugh Hamer (Joyce) of Dubuque, Iowa; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A native of Ontario, Canada, Margaret attended nursing school and worked in a doctor's office until marrying her husband and moving to Pittsburgh. She resided in the Observatory Hill area of the North Side for 40 years, later moving to Ross Township where she lived for 31 years.

Margaret was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ross Township, active in their quilting group. She made many quilt tops in her spare time, even well into her 90s. She also loved sewing, cooking and entertaining friends in her home. Active in her community, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 42 years.

Friends invited Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from 9 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. Interment will be private.

My Parents and I, will always be Thankful to Aunt Margaret ( and Uncle Bill ) for All Their Support Through the Years!!! Aunt Margaret and Uncle Bill sponsored my parents and I , to immigrate to the United States and I believe we even stayed with them for a little while also - until we could find somewhere to live. Aunt Margaret has Wonderfully been a part of my life since my earliest recollection!!! Her Love and Support Through the Years Has Meant So Much To Me And My Family!!! While Aunt Margaret Will Be Very Missed!!! She Will Always Be Close in My Heart and My Thoughts!!! Love and Prayers to Mary and Families and Walt!!!
