Born January 8, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA, Marie was the wife of 56 years to the late George E. Holtzapfel, Jr. She
was the loving mother of Marie Clark (Cottonwood, AZ) and Barbara Holtzapfel (Pittsburgh, PA); beloved Grammy of Allison Clark (Phoenix, AZ) and Jeffrey Clark (Pittsburgh, PA); Great-grammy of Abigail Marie Clark. One of nine , Marie was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Ruth Moeller, Clara Holtgraver, Dorothy Roble, John Hoge, Grace O'Hara, Lois Gmuer, Kenneth Hoge and Mildred Rensi.
Friends received Wednesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon, where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 11am. Burial will follow in the Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Allegheny Valley School, with Upper Cedar House noted in the memo.
