Nelson R Tonet

Nelson R. Tonet, 75, of Treesdale, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Dolores A. (Bigler) Tonet; loving father of Sharon A. (Richard) Aufmann, of McCandless, and Kimberly J. Tonet, of Ross; brother of the late William G. Tonet and the late Irene Makuta; and father-in-law of the late Paul F. Kremen. Nelson attended the University of Pittsburgh and received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed by Duquesne Light and retired in 1996 as a nuclear engineer. He was a life member and past president of West Deer Township Volunteer Fire Department 1. He was chairman of the parish council of St. Alphonsus Church, Wexford, where he served as an usher. Currently, he sits on the board of the Marian Hall Home, located in Bellevue at Mt. Assisi, the home of the School Sisters of St. Francis. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Alphonsus Church, 201 Church Road, Wexford. Everyone please meet at the church. Entombment at Holy Savior Cemetery will be private.
