

Richard W Hainer 95 of McCandless Township was called to join his beloved late wife Adeline to celebrate her birthday in heaven on July 2, 2022. He was born in Corry PA on July 17, 1926, he was the son of the late Harlan and Martha (Kohler) Hainer.
Dick was predeceased by wife Adeline together they raised four children: Craig (Debbie) Hainer, Barbara Scheller, Rhea Richey and Patricia Chernicky. Grandfather of eleven, Melissa Powell, Late Hillary Hainer, Maggie (Brian) Kinzler, Andrew Powell, Jennifer (Dan) Scheller, Jessica (TW) Tomayko, Rachel (Damon) Bullock, Ryan (Erika) Scheller, Matthew Richey, Billy (Shelby) Chernicky and Sara Chernicky. Great grandfather of nine, William Kinzler, Kelli Kinzler, Mikayla Powell, Brantley Ray, Adilynn Chernicky, Paige Tomayko, Ava Chernicky, Lilly Bullock and soon to be Leo Scheller. Dear brother to Bill Hainer and the late Bob Hainer.
Richard known as Dick Hainer received his education from Angola High School Class of 1946. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1950 from the University of Buffalo. Dick served a two-year tour of duty in the US Navy during World War II. Honorably discharged with the rank of Yeoman 3rd class.
Dick worked in transportation as a biller and rate clerk for Southern Tier Express, Boss-Linco, Wallace transport, Inland, Roadway transit and Akron-Chicago Transportation. Dick started a Trucking Company in Buffalo: The Merchant Motor Express. Later he worked for Bethlehem Steel 1953-1983. He also received an associate degree in Transportation and took Law courses to become an ICC Practitioner. Dick served in the T &TA Traffic Transportation Association as President for three terms. Dick was also active in Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity as President both regionally and nationally.
He will be missed by his business associates, caregivers, his children, and grand/great grandchildren.
Friends and Family are welcomed to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home on Saturday July 9, 2022, from 10AM to 1PM. Burial with Military Honors will take place at 1:30PM at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
