Ronald L. Koms Sr.

Ronald L Koms Sr. age 88 passed away peacefully on Sunday March 14, 2021. He was born on October 16, 1932 in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late Frank and Ruby Koms. He was the husband to the late Regina (Shirley) Koms for 64 years. He proudly served our country and was a Korean War veteran.

In addition, he will be forever remembered and cherished by his children Renee (Dale) Pritchard and Ron (Teri) Koms Jr; his grandchildren Kristi Goehring, Kelli Dalesandro, Mike McElhaney and Jamie Orlovsky, and his 9 great grandchildren. He was brother to Pat Scott, Joyce Sypolt the late Sandy Hufschmidt and Frank Koms Jr.

He adored his wife and took great care of her as long as he was able to. He was a fantastic father and grandfather as well as a role model for his children and grandchildren.

He loved sports, and was an avid golfer, bowler, and card player. He will be most remembered for being the kind of person that you loved being around.

The family would like to share our sincere appreciation to all the staff at Hermitage Nursing and Rehab Center and Clepper Manor for the amazing care they gave to our father.

Friends will be received on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Saints John and Paul Catholic Church, 2586 Wexford Bayne Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143.
