Ruth H. Baret

Ruth H Baret, 94, of Hampton Township, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born on March 17, 1931, to Stuart and Helen Braun in Pittsburgh, Ruth lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald F Baret and a loving mother to Donald F Baret, Jr (Kim) of Greenville, South Carolina, and Linda R Baret of Hampton Township. Ruth was the Grandmother of Jennifer Wolfe (Mike), Scott Baret (Kate), Aimee Baret, and great-grandmother of Mallory and Cameron Wolfe.

Ruth graduated from Oliver High School in 1949 and went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh and Youngstown State University.

Ruth and her family lived in Youngstown, Ohio, for twenty years, where she devoted her life to her family. She was actively involved in her children’s activities, serving as a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, and Band Parent. In Youngstown, Ohio, Ruth was a dedicated member of Christ Church, where she taught Sunday School. After moving to Pittsburgh, she joined Northmont Presbyterian Church and later Memorial Park Presbyterian Church. Ruth enjoyed ceramics and sharing her creations with her family. Ruth played the piano and loved listening to music and singing along, especially in her later years.

Visitation for Ruth will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 6-8 PM at H.P Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Uniondale Cemetery.
