Sue Ann Butor (Boggs) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the age of 87. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend to many. Sue is survived by her loving daughters, Carol Brenckle (Gary) and Kathy Raymond (Jeff), her son-in-law Jeff Straka and daughter-in-law Maureen Butor. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy Smith (Greg), Nicole Riegner (Eric), Gary Brenckle Jr. (Sarah), Stephanie Costlow, Renee Butor, Rick Butor (Alex), Chris Butor, Addison Raymond (Jordan Loscar), Christina Williams (Ryan) and Jake Raymond. Along with her great-grandchildren, Easton, Ally, Jack, Emma, Bauer, Eviee, Alora, Maddie, Selah, Lane and Chatham whom she adored and loved spending time with. She is also survived by many other family members, friends and neighbors.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward, her son, Edward Jr. and her daughter, Karen, along with her parents and her many siblings, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. Over the years she had many dogs and cats that she attended to with much love and affection, as well as the neighborhood deer, wild turkeys and birds that she would feed regularly as if they were her own pets.
Sue was loved by all and always had a kind word to say about everyone. She loved spending time with her family and would welcome visitors into her home with a hug and would quickly offer them a Pepsi and some “snick snacks”. She enjoyed spending her days watching old movies or the Game Show Network and never missed an episode of The Voice or America’s Got Talent. Once a week she would go and play cards with her sister-in-law Norma and their card club. She loved going out to eat at Red Lobster and ordering her favorite meal, Coconut Shrimp with the dipping sauce, although she would end up “forcefully sharing” most of it with whomever she was dining with.
Sue had a lot of little quirks and mannerisms but those are what made her family love her that much more and she will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Sue will be held Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237. A Catholic Blessing service will occur Monday, June 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at St. Stanislaus.
The family has chosen West View Floral Shoppe to provide their floral arrangements. 412-931-1258
