William C. Ringeisen, age 89, formerly of McCandless, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. William was born September 21, 1929 in Allison Park, a son of the late Clarence W. and Harriet A. (Gosnell) Ringeisen. He is the loving husband of Florence M. (Huckestein) Ringeisen, beloved father of Pauline (Rev. Tim) Spring and Wayne (Maria) Ringeisen. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Erika and Timothy Spring and Hannah, Mia and Benjamin Ringeisen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Richard J. Gosnell.
William was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement he worked as an Insurance Agent for John Hancock Insurance. He was a member of the North Hills Community Baptist Church and the West View Veterans of Foreign Wars. "Bill" or "Red", was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and camping, pastimes which he shared with his family. As a youth he played ice hockey and football, which inspired a lifelong love of the Steelers and the Penguins.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc. (1032 Perry Hwy, Ross Twp., 412-364-4444). A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am in the North Hills Community Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
