Age 90, of Ross Twp., passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014. He was the loving father of Linda (Joseph) Danver and Donna (Gregg) Corsello; grandfather of Rebecca, Melissa, Joseph, Dawn and David; also survived by five great grandchildren. Prior to his retirement, William worked as a guidance counselor in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the VFW, the North Allegheny Senior Softball Assoc. and North Hills Community Baptist. William enjoyed life and could often be found, playing softball and golf, dancing, playing cards or just socializing with his friends.
Friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15 for a procession to Mt. Royal Cemetery for committal services.
