DONALD DEAN WILLIAMSON, walked into eternity with the Lord Jesus by his side on September 17, 2022. He had developed Alzheimer’s disease about ten years ago and was lovingly cared for at home by his wife. He is predeceased by his only daughter, Judy Bloom, his parents, Paul and Gladys Williamson, his two older brothers, Paul and Dwight Williamson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Williamson, his son Keith Williamson, his sister Sondra Langle and husband Gerald Langle, their children and grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. By his sister in law Janice Sam, two brothers in law Jim and Terry Linderman and his good friend from his teens, Don Muse and many others.
Don worked hanging sheet rock and doing beautiful textured finish work. He started this work at age 14 and had saved enough money to buy his first car before he had a driver’s license. His sister remembers him as a child and pre-teen by the clever things he could do: make and fly a kite, was a pogo stick champ, could walk on stilts like no other and did fancy tricks while riding his bike. He was a cute little boy with masses of curly hair but grew to be 6’5” tall and very strong. He graduated from, Norte Del Rio High School in 1960. He and his wife married very young and had their two children very soon after. He loved old cars and owned several that he liked to work on in his garage. Don worked for one man during his work life, Chet Richie. Chet was a kind Christian man and he taught Don many things that helped him to become a successful business man He started his own company and worked in it for thirty plus years.
Don was quiet and shy unless he was around family and good friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. No service is planned at this time.
