It is with great sadness we share the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother-in-law, George Booth. He will be remembered by those who loved him as a deeply caring, wonderful, loving family man who enjoyed laughing, traveling, watching football (Go Bears!), poker or card games of any kind. Las Vegas was a favorite travel spot.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie and sons, Mitchell and Michael. He is survived by his sons Mark (Sandra) and Mathew (Linsey), brother-in-law Tom (Toni), six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
George was born in Harvey, Illinois, outside of Chicago, and went to college at Purdue, where he received an Associate degree and worked in heating and air conditioning for 43 years. He also had a brown belt in karate, an airplane pilot’s license, was a motorcycle rider and loved all animals.
Memorial services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road, Placerville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in George’s name, to Snowline Hospice of El Dorado County, 2520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619 or www.snowlinehospice.org.
