We were fortunate to have Maria as a friend. She will be missed. Te quiero Maria!!

We're so glad that our daughters got the chance to know Maria: two of my own grandparents were gone before I was born, let alone great grandparents! I will never forget when she first met baby Clare. She said "Hey, Cookie!" so enthusiastically and with such love that Clare's whole little baby body started wiggling with joy and she laughed and laughed. As they got older I know the girls enjoyed going down there for dinner during visits. My mom says she really felt close to your mom after the visit this summer, and I 'm sure that Michael will miss the occasional $20 she'd slip him for book money! I know that this is a time of grief, but I hope it can also be a celebration of her life and the warmth that she brought to all.  With love and prayers for all,
