Robert George Hill

Robert George Hill, 80, went home to be with the Lord on January 30. He was surrounded by his family at his home in Cameron Park, California. Robert was born in Evanston, Illinois on March 25th, 1945 to Richard and Mildred (Mid) Hill. He grew up in the same town and graduated from Evanston High School in 1963 where he excelled in Men's Gymnastics taking first place in State on the pommel horse his senior year. Robert (Bob) then went on to be a Political Science major at Denver University in Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Barbara (Barb) Bradford, who had grown up not so far from him in Glenview, Illinois. After college, they both returned to the Chicago area where they were to be married on June 2, 1972.

Bob and Barb then moved to Freehold, New Jersey, where he started his long career of sales and marketing in the biotech industry. It was there that they started their family and had their first two sons, Jason and Andy. After moving to California, they welcomed their third son, Alex. Dad was always so proud of his three boys. He was a loving father who always invested his time and love into his family. In 1983, Bob became a new man when he met his Savior, Jesus, sparking a lifelong commitment of service. Dad loved to play the guitar and lead others in worship at Church. His heart was for the Lord, his wife and family, and others. Whoever he met, he touched. Dad loved people, he loved to make them laugh, he prayed for them often, and made them feel especially important to him.

Bob is survived by his lovely wife Barbara of over 53 years, and their three sons, Jason and his wife Niki, Andy, and Alex. His quiver was full of joyful blessings, including his seven beautiful grandchildren, whom he absolutely adored and generously shared his time and talents with each one: Lydia, Phoebe, Abigail, Grace, Nathaniel, Caleb, and Samuel Hill.
