Dear Lisa~I am stunned to hear of your father's demise.  Roger Haviland was one of the kindest men I have ever known.  We all became friends and neighbors 45 years ago when we moved to El Dorado Hills.  Our father's carpooled to work every day together.
After my mother's stroke, Roger would come to Lake Tahoe, take me to lunch and visit with my mom.  I always looked forward to his monthly visits.
Just about 3 weeks ago I drove past the houses in El Dorado Hills and contemplated stopping to see your dad; but it didn't look like anyone was at home.  How I wish now I had stopped.
The Lord be with you at this time, Lisa.  Your father is in good care now.
