CLARE, James P., on May 27, 2026, in the company of his loving wife Oona at the Catholic Health Good Shepherd Hospice. Beloved father of John, Melissa and James, grandfather of Saoirse, James, Rory, Nina and Austin, son of the late James and Sheelah, brother of Joan (deceased), John, Gerard and Joseph.
James will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and everyone he extended his generous hospitality to during his many years in the restaurant and hotel industry in Ireland, Switzerland and New York.
A service will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 655 Old Country Rd., Planview, NY 11803, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
