Amparo "Ann" Gent

Amparo (Ann) Romero Lucero Gent, 99, Plano, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on 6/6/2023. She was born in Denver, CO on 1/5/1924 to Pablo Romero and Felipa Ramos. She graduated from West High School in Denver, CO in 1942. She was married to John Lucero from approximately 1943 to 1946, and then was married to George A. Gent from 1/23/1955 until his death on 1/19/1994. She worked primarily in retail, including a clothing store in the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. She had a great passion for animals, especially dogs. She was predeceased by her parents and husbands and brothers, Frank Romero, Cruz Romero, Louis Romero, Richard Romero and sisters, Adela (Della) Romero Pineda, Emily Romero Garcia, Consuelo (Connie) Romero Gallegos Gonzales, Elina (Helen) Romero, and Gloria Romero. She is survived by brothers Raul (Joe) Romero and Frederico (Fred) Romero and sisters Delores (Dee) Romero Lopez and Caroline Romero Rodarte Crumb and numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews and great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews and probably some great-great-grands too.
