He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1937 to Harold and Helen Bockoven. David is a graduate of Norwich University in Northfield Vermont. After graduating, he joined the Armed Forces where he served for 20 years. He retired as a Lt Colonel after serving two tours in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Helen Bockoven, sisters Anne Howard and Betty Jane Manoog and is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda Bockoven, children Krista, Kirk, Katherine and Karl Bockoven. Also, grandchildren Elise, Emily, Michael, Parker and Blake and great grandchildren, Claire and Henry.
