

Dorothy Ruth Harvey Williamson was born on March 31,1923 in Stamford,Texas, to Josephus Shields Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Patton Harvey. During World War II, she worked on B-24 airplanes as a "Rosie the Riveter", and her future husband, Allen Dean Williamson was a nose gunner on B24 bombers. They were the Greatest Generation. After the war they married on November 2, 1949.
Dorothy was the most giving, loving, and caring woman. She had the ability to touch a person's life with her love and her thoughtfulness. She was a true blessing in the lives of the people she knew and she did it with the most delightful sense of humor.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her sisters: Lois Brannen, Juanita Phillips, Ruby Leal, Imogene Harvey, Dorris Crump, and her brothers, Joseph Harvey and Charles Harvey. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Allen Dean Williamson, her daughters, Carol Potts and her husband Ron, and Mary Duncan, and grandchildren Christopher Duncan, Michelle and her husband Justin Doyle, Andrew Duncan, Wayne Potts and his wife Amber, Suzanne Potts, Catherine Potts, and great grand children Autumn and Emily Potts. She is also survived by man nieces and nephews whom she cherished and loved very much.
Graveside services will be at 1 pm Friday, February 28th, at the Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery. Those attending should join the cortege to the service site in Lane A at the cemetery.
