Frank M Davis, Jr. passed away on June 28, 2018. He was born October 21, 1928 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Frank M. Davis, Sr. and Cleda Fosta Maddera Davis. Frank was the oldest of three boys, Richard “Buck” Davis and Joe Davis. Early in his childhood, the family moved to Pocatello, Idaho. Following his 1946 graduation from high school in Pocatello, he attended Idaho State College. Frank joined the United States Navy in 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1952. Frank joined IBM as a Customer Engineer in 1952. During his 38 years with IBM, he held various roles as Electronics Educational Instructor, Program Administrator and Maintenance Marketing Support roles in various regions: Northern California, New Jersey and North Texas. He retired in 1991. While in the Navy, Frank met Marion (Joyce) Nelson. He was attracted to her beauty, personality and strong family ties. Frank and Joyce married December 29, 1951 at the Alameda US Naval Air Station. On January 11, 1952 their marriage was sealed at the LDS Salt Lake City Temple. Frank was very active and involved with The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He held many positions including Priesthood, Bishop, Scout Master, Bishop Counselor, High Council, Regional Welfare Agent, Welfare Service Missionary, Temple Ordinance Worker, Chairman of the Farm Operating Committee and various other roles.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Davis; Sons Gene Davis; David Davis (Nancy); Robert Davis (Claudette); Doug Davis (April); Daughter Nancy Carey (David); Grandchildren: Stacy Davis; D. Christopher Carey (Jessica); Tommy Davis; Hunter Davis (Katy); Alexandra Smale (Jordan); Alison Davis; Cassandra Carey; Candice Carey; Nicholas Carey and honorary granddaughter McKenzie Patch. Great Grandchildren: Brooklynn Carey, Carter Smale and Reagan Carey. Preceded in death, Daughter Barbara Davis and Son Paul Davis.
