James E. Raines II, age 45, of Plano, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was born on April 7, 1967, in Stamford, Connecticut, to James and Gladys Raines. James was currently employed with Andrews Distributing in Allen, Texas. No one was a stranger to James, for he was an extremely friendly and personable person. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Raines, Sr.; and his grandparents. James will be greatly missed by his mother, Gladys Raines of Plano; sister, Wendy Raines of Plano; son, Jacob Boyce Raines of Collin County; aunts, Betty Prince of Stamford, Connecticut and Jane Raines of Orangeburg, South Carolina; uncles, Joseph Raines and his wife, Marie, of Stamford, Connecticut and Donnell Raines and his wife, Avery, of Apex, North Carolina; and a multitude of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 1-2:30pm in Ted Dickey Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery at 2:30pm.
