

LCPL Jay Eldon Harlow was born on May 30, 1968 in Shreveport, Louisiana and went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2022. Jay proudly served in the United States Marines Corp from 1989 to 1993 and was deployed to Desert Storm, Desert Shield, and Somalia. His awards include National Defense Service Medal, three Letters of Appreciation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, a Good Conduct Award, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Jay enjoyed everything having to do with his “beloved” Marine Corps, his Bull Dogs, riding Motorcycles, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and living life to the fullest with his friends and family. He was a long-time employee working in ITS Infrastructure at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Jay is proceeded in death by his best friend Mark Grosskopf of Shreveport, Louisiana. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Sandra Harlow of Shreveport, Louisiana; his father and step-mother, Eldon and Jan Harlow of Lincoln, Nebraska; father-in-law Jim Malarkey; mother-in-law, Louise Malarkey of Courtdale, Pennsylvania; his wife Michele Harlow; Brothers Jon and Jody Harlow; Brother Kevin Hollingshead and wife Kari; Sister-in-law Tina Roper and partner Chris Reed; brother-in-law Jimmy Malarkey; Sons Taylor Main, George Main, Jared Harlow and wife Jamie, and Jacob Harlow; grandkids June, Brantly, Madison, Christian, and many other family members and friends who he loved dearly.
A visitation for Jay will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th St, Plano, Texas 75074. A celebration of life will occur Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home.
