

Kay Barron Wright, aged 74, passed away on January 10, 2012 in Allen, Texas. Mrs. Wright was born on February 4, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, one of four daughters of Mae Esther. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught in the Harlingen, Texas School District for 23 years.
Mrs. Wright is survived by six children: Lori Garcia and her husband, Joe; Rick Wilson and his wife, Cindy; Todd Wilson and his wife, Maggie; Randy Wilson; pre-deceased daughter-in law, Jane Wilson; Larry Wright and his wife, Dora; Scott Wright and his wife, Irma; three sisters, Jean Parsons, Dorthea Barber and Diane Plowman; 22 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. She loved country music and playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas for the many years she resided there. She later attended St. Jude Catholic Church upon moving to the Dallas area. Here, she found great strength in wonderful friends such as Jeanne Girsch and Father Tim Church.
