Lee Francis Hathway

Lee Francis Hathway, aged 64 years, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family early Tuesday morning, November 3, 2015 near Frisco, TX where his wife Angela Hathway and two dogs, Harry and Max live.

Lee spent free time with his family, reading books, and playing computer games at home. He worked with computer databases and software for the Peoria, IL branch of Lexis-Nexis at the time of his death.

Lee was born November 11, 1950 in Waukesha, WI, son of John and Thelma (Miller) Hathway.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at Bradley University in Peoria, IL in 1972.

He met Angela while working at Herget Bank in Pekin, IL. They married on August 22, 1980.

The family lived in Marquette Heights, IL then Oklahoma City, OK, and finally settled in Pekin, IL in 1988. In 2010, Angela and he moved to Texas to live near their children and grandchildren.

Lee is survived by his three children: Rachel (Thomas) Volmer of Richardson, TX, John (Rachel) Hathway of Savannah, TX, and Timothy Hathway with his partner Kathryn of Pensacola, FL. Lee also leaves behind five grandchildren: Alexander(8), Christopher(6), Claire(5), August(2), and Cara(1).

He is also survived by three sisters: Judy Hathway, Jeanne DeRosier, and Janice Webber.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Child’s Play charity, benefiting childrens’ hospitals worldwide.
