Reynold was born on May 31, 1946 in Crowley, Louisiana, a son of Newman and Edith (Hargrave) Thibodeaux.

He married Cathy Russell on May 15, 1982 in Houston, Texas. She survives in Murphy.

Reynold served the United States in the Army.

A private burial will be held at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas has charge of arrangements.
