Rita Giffin

Her passing is a great shock and has left her family, and those who love her, saddened and grieving. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a Christian.

Rita was born on August 30th, 1952 in her beloved city of Essen, Germany. She was one of three siblings. Although she moved to the States in 1981 she loved her hometown dearly. She taught herself English and was a hard worker making sure her children had everything they ever needed.

Rita was endlessly loving and is loved dearly. She will always be remembered for her smile. She was gracious to all, including animals. So much so you could bring an elephant home and I’m sure she would let you keep it.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, John, as well as her children Tammie Gamble, Jennifer Parsell, Michael Giffin, and Daniel Giffin. She also has 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Please join us for a memorial service held in her honor at 10:00am on Saturday February 24th, 2024 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving, TX. 75060.

Following the service will be a memorial tribute video at Angelo’s Spaghetti & Pizza House 1330 W. Pioneer Drive, Irving, TX. 75061. The family appreciates your support during this difficult time and per Rita's request, asks that you make donations to an animal shelter or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
