Ronald Paul Guercio was born on September 10, 1932, in New Orleans, to Vincent and Nelia Guercio. The family moved to Houston. Ron attended Sacred Heart and graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1950. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. Ron then joined the army and proudly served his country in Korea. He became an accountant and worked for several prominent national firms. Ron enjoyed running, skiing and spending time with his grandchildren. Other things that he enjoyed were watching old westerns, especially John Wayne movies. Ron is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jan, as well as his sister Joyce Madeley. He is also survived by 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Ron was predeceased by 1 daughter as well as his parents. A cemetery service and interment of ashes will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2pm in the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston, TX. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his name to the American Cancer Society ® - Fight against Prostate Cancer.
