Willis D. Braley

Willis was born on September 25, 1932 in Bowie County, Texas, a son of B. Roy and Ruby Lee (Kemp) Braley.

On December 19, 1952 he married Johnnie Lee Hudgens. Willis served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked for Chrysler Boat for 11 years as a customer service specialist and Braley’s Roofing Service for many years.

He is survived by his children, Don Braley of Plano, Texas, Tim Braley of Wylie, Texas, Tracy Braley of Murphy, Texas, and Trina Bateman of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren, Shawn, Dustin, Kristin, Kayla, Jacob, Noah, Josh, Elijah and many great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy McElwee of New Boston, Texas, Doris Crane of Allen, Texas and Venita Grist of Kingsland, Arkansas, brothers, R.B. Braley of Redwater, Texas, Robert Braley of Redwater, Texas, John Braley of Bonham, Texas, Horace Braley of Ivanhoe, Texas; Roger Braley of Farmersville, Texas, and Bruce Braley of Copeville, Texas,.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Lee Braley, daughter, Pamela Kay Braley, great grandson Evan Glen Braley and brothers Lee Roy Braley, Benny Joe Braley and Bobby Ray Braley.

Celebration of life service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074. Brother Jerry Jones will officiate.

Burial will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano, Texas. Reverend Leonard Allgood will officiate.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM also at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home.
