Anna Ruth Crider

She was a Florida Resident for 83 years. Anna in reunited with her high school sweetheart and husband of 58 years, Preston Crider, and her son Matthew Crider.

Anna worked for three years at The Lakeland Ledger after graduating from Plant City High School and then married her Marine, Preston in 1960 and they raised two children.

In 1974 she went to work at Cork Elementary School as a Kindergarten Teacher’s Aid where she spent the next 24 years, 11 of those years she worked along Carol Nicely who was like a second daughter to Anna.

Anna loved Jesus and her church family. She was a long time member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved working with children and was always ready to give out the best hugs. She and Preston did everything together as a family.

I will miss you dearly. Please save a seat for me….until then, I love you…

A visitation for Anna will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, Plant City, Florida. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Plant City, Florida. A visitation will occur from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 1903 West Reynolds Street, Plant City, Florida 33563.

Anna will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
