GODWIN, Annie Jewell, age 90, passed away on July 5, 2016 in Plant City, FL. Annie was born in Pisgah, AL to John and Edna (Garren) Peek and moved to Florida over 70 years ago. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Plant City. She loved quilting, fishing, working in her yard, cooking and helping others. She will be missed.
Annie was predeceased by her husband, Murrel O. Godwin, along with all of her siblings. Loving family who survive are four sons, Walton (Debbie) Godwin, Frank (Brenda Kay) Godwin, Dennis Godwin, Daniel (Wendy) Godwin; four daughters, Debra (Marvin) Nester, Dora (Johnny) Strickland, Wanda (Marlin) Dunn, Sharon (Carrol) Starling; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be Saturday, July 9, 2016, from 10-11am. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Alvin Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at First Baptist Dover Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.wellsmemorial.com.
