Antonio Ventura Arellano-Banda

With profound sorrow and love in our hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Antonio V. Arellano Banda, who departed this world on May 13, 2026, at the age of 20.

Antonio was born on December 2, 2005, and from the very beginning he was a deeply loved and long-awaited child. He was the first of four children, the first grandchild and nephew on both sides of the family, and the first great-grandchild of Rumaldo Alvarez. His arrival brought immense joy to everyone blessed to know him.

From a young age, Antonio showed exceptional intelligence, curiosity, and ambition. He loved dinosaurs and had a passion for learning about planets and the universe. In third grade, he was placed in advanced classes for gifted students. In fifth grade, he earned a scholarship to study at Polk State College, and in eighth grade he was selected to join the prestigious IB Program at Bartow High School. Throughout all four years of high school, he maintained a 4.0 GPA, and during his senior year he earned a full four-year scholarship to study Mechanical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Despite all of his academic achievements, Antonio always remained humble and grounded. He never saw himself as better or less than anyone else. He did not care whether clothes were new or used; he simply appreciated what he had and stayed true to himself. He was selective when choosing friends, but the ones he loved, he treated like family.

Antonio had a kind, loving, and generous heart. He was always willing to help others and had a special way of making people feel loved and important. Family meant everything to him. He deeply loved his mother and constantly showed his affection through words, jokes, and thoughtful gestures. He had a great sense of humor, and after saying something sarcastic or teasing, he would often smile and say, “I’m just joking.”

Among the many things Antonio enjoyed were collecting playing cards, playing Pokémon Go, fishing, cheering for the Cowboys, playing basketball and volleyball, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Rey and Gordo. He especially loved spending quality time with his siblings, creating memories and moments they will cherish forever. His favorite meals were his mom’s enchiladas, eggs with chorizo and homemade flour tortillas, and chicken flautas with green salsa. He also loved Rancheritos chips and enjoyed peach soda or mango Jumex juice.

Antonio leaves behind an enormous void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Although his loss is deeply painful, his love, smile, humility, and beautiful memories will live on forever in the lives he touched.

Antonio knew how deeply he was loved, and he will continue to be loved for all eternity.

Rest in peace, Toñito. You will forever live in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Wells Memorial in Plant City, Florida, on May 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Funeral Mass on Friday, May 29, 2026, at St. Clement Catholic Church, in, Plant City, Florida at 1:00 p.m.

Con profundo dolor y amor en nuestros corazones, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Antonio V. Arellano Banda, quien partió de este mundo el 13 de mayo de 2026, a la edad de 20 años.

Antonio nació el 2 de diciembre de 2005 y desde el primer momento fue un niño muy amado y esperado. Fue el primer hijo de cuatro hermanos, el primer nieto y sobrino de ambas familias, y el primer bisnieto de Rumaldo Álvarez. Su llegada llenó de alegría a todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerlo.

Desde pequeño, Antonio demostró ser un joven excepcionalmente inteligente, curioso y lleno de sueños. Le fascinaban los dinosaurios y tenía una gran pasión por aprender sobre los planetas y el universo. En tercer grado fue colocado en clases avanzadas para niños sobresalientes. En quinto grado obtuvo una beca para estudiar en Polk State College y, en octavo grado, fue seleccionado para formar parte del prestigioso programa IB de Bartow High School. Durante sus cuatro años de preparatoria mantuvo un GPA de 4.0 y, en su último año, recibió una beca completa de cuatro años para estudiar Ingeniería Mecánica en Washington University en St. Louis, Missouri.

A pesar de todos sus logros académicos, Antonio siempre mantuvo la humildad y sencillez que lo caracterizaban. Nunca se creyó más ni menos que nadie. No le importaba si la ropa era nueva o usada; siempre tenía los pies bien puestos sobre la tierra. Era muy selectivo con sus amistades, pero a quienes consideraba amigos los quería como familia.

Antonio tenía un corazón noble y amoroso. Siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar a los demás y hacía sentir especiales a las personas que amaba. Su familia era lo más importante para él. Amaba profundamente a su mamá y constantemente demostraba su cariño con palabras y detalles únicos. Tenía un gran sentido del humor y muchas veces, después de decir algo bromista, respondía con una sonrisa: “nomás estoy chistando.”

Entre las cosas que más disfrutaba estaban coleccionar barajas, jugar Pokémon Go, ir de pesca, apoyar a los Cowboys, jugar básquetbol y voleibol, y pasar tiempo con sus queridos perros, Rey y Gordo. También disfrutaba muchísimo compartir tiempo con sus hermanos, creando recuerdos y momentos que siempre serán atesorados por su familia. Sus comidas favoritas eran las enchiladas de mamá, el blanquillo con chorizo y tortillas de harina, así como las flautas de pollo con salsa verde. Disfrutaba de los Rancheritos y de su soda de durazno o jugo de mango Jumex.

Antonio deja un vacío inmenso en los corazones de su familia, amigos y todos quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Aunque su partida duele profundamente, su amor, su sonrisa, su humildad y sus recuerdos vivirán para siempre en nuestras vidas.

Antonio sabía cuánto lo amábamos, y así será por toda la eternidad.
